Dear Parents, Teachers/Staff and Students,
Welcome to a new year at Apopka Memorial Middle School. PTSA will be working hard to make a daily difference in each student's life. We invite you to join with us to make a difference in our children's education.
Research shows when parents/community are involved, students have:
. higher grades, test scores, and graduation rates
. better school attendance
. increased motivation and better self-esteem
. lower rates of suspension
. decreased use of alcohol and other drugs
. fewer instances of violent behavior
. greater enrollment rates in post-secondary education
Joining PTSA (100% membership is our goal) and gaining a voice in the schools' direction, or by simply volunteering in your child's school and their daily life will help them towards a better future.

Principal's PTSA Message
Community involvement plays a vital role in a school's success. Joining the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a wonderful way for parents and students to become more involved in school activities. Throughout the year, the PTSA will offer several opportunities like fundraisers, student activities, and other events for you to get involved More importantly, it is important to remember PTSA gives back to the school as well by providing teachers with classroom grants, assistance with school activities, and support of school goals and initiatives. Therefore, I encourage you to join our PTSA. Together, we will make a difference in the lives of our children.
